About Gyanodaya Gurukul

Gyanodaya Gurukul is an initiative of the Saraswati Saryug Educational Trust to promote quality education for all round development of the children of Patna and adjoining regions of the state of Bihar, Jharkhand, UP, West Bengal & Nepal. Since its inception on February 11, 2008 Gyanodaya Gurukul has been shaped into a vibrant school with Gurukulites and educators collaborating actively to realize the progressive curriculum on powerful insights. Spread over 2 acres of sprawling & landscaped campus in the heart of the western city of Patna with excellent sports facilities and dedicated Academy Clubs, Digital classrooms and activity areas, Language labs, specialized IT and Enriched Science Labs, self-owned fleet of buses with GPRS, CCTV surveillance facility, efficient ERP and empowered digital learning system, the school’s enthusiasm is personified into a resonated and vibrant centre of learning. The IT and pedagogical skills sets of our educators and students have grown phenomenally, especially through creative group activities, stage friendly environments along with explorations through space and Robotics Olympaids, Inter-school curricular, cultural and sports activities, excursions and special attention on practical learning and hands on experience.

There is a prioritized focus on teacher’s training in new areas of lerning with the ambit to keep our educators and students abreast with the day to day development in learning and pedagogical skills. Our coordinated initiatives like Personal Development Programmes, Student Leardership Programme, Discovering New Perspective in Parent School Partnership, School Enterprises and others are eminently successful. Recipient of the prestigious Mirchi Tycoon Award by Radio Mirchi 98.3, National Award in Mallakhamb with over 90% players of the official team of the state of Bihar in both under 19 and under 14 categories from our school besides being the winner of the inter school Kabaddi Championship, First place scored twice by our students in Inter State under 19 POLLEX-T II & POLLEX-T III Science Experiment Competitions, National Finalist award by our student in Anveshika Experiment at IIT Kanpur, First prize bagged by our student in Inter State Robotics and Science Quiz competitions, recipient of first prize in Inter School Dance, Mime, Karate, Painting and Craft & Origami many more are to name of few to mention our success stories. The school was founded by Late Saryug Prasad Ray who focused his energies for the cause of education with emphasis on Life Skill education. He was of the opinion that the education patterned to train the

students to face the challenges and ever changing skill requirement on account of globalization without forgetting ethos of rich Indian culture is bound to transform the society and thereby make India a strong, self supporting and leading nation. His preference was for the actual implementation of this concept rather than merely preaching.

Behind every successful man there is a women. Late Saraswati Devi has been a perennial source of motivation behind the creation of the institution & social service programs run by Saraswati Saryug Educational Trust. She si an eminent social reformist and socialite working healvily in the area of women empowerment and possessing a soft corner for the physically challenged as well as mentally handicapped. Throughout her life she upheld the aphorism ‘Shiksha Sanskar Ke Sath’. The flame of Late Saryug Prasad Rai may have died out but the legacy he lives behind continues to live on…..
